  AI算力持续爆发,数据中心对网络性能与能效的要求持续走高。传统光、电互连架构功耗高、延迟大,带宽也难以进一步拓展,已经难以匹配AI训练、大规模云计算等场景的需求。为解决这一难题,业界正加速推进共封装光学(CPO)/近封装光学(NPO)技术:把光引擎尽量靠近甚至直接与交换/计算芯片封装在一起,大幅缩短信号路径,显著降低功耗,同时实现超高带宽密度与超低延迟。然而传统MPO光纤连接器受尺寸限制,芯数密度偏低,端口部署数量趋近饱和,成为CPO/NPO技术落地的物理阻碍。

  在此背景下,中航光电推出UCM(Unified optical fiber connector-MT ferrules)超小型多芯光纤连接器,以更小体积实现更高光纤芯数密度,为数据中心、高端算力集群等高密互连场景,提供稳定可靠、大容量的高速传输解决方案。

  AI computing power is booming, pushing data centers to upgrade network performance and energy efficiency. Traditional optical and electrical interconnections suffer from high power consumption, significant latency and poor bandwidth scalability, unable to support AI training and large-scale cloud computing. To address these challenges, the industry is advancing Co-packaged Optics (CPO) and Near-packaged Optics (NPO). By integrating optical engines with switching and computing chips, these technologies shorten signal paths to reduce power consumption and latency while boosting bandwidth density. However, traditional MPO connectors are limited in size and fiber density, with port capacity nearly maxed out and hindering CPO/NPO deployment. Against this backdrop, JONHON has launched the UCM (Unified optical fiber connector-MT ferrules), an ultra-compact multi-fiber connector. It delivers higher fiber density in a smaller footprint, offering a stable, high-capacity high-speed transmission solution for high-density interconnections in data centers and high-end computing clusters.

  The port density of UCM connectors is three times that of traditional MPO connectors. A single 1RU panel accommodates 264 ports.   The insertion loss for both single-mode and multi-mode fibers is ≤0.35 dB, complying with IEC Grade B. The return loss is ≥60 dB for APC and ≥40 dB for PC. It fully supports 800G/1.6T high-speed interconnection and CPO/NPO systems.

  标配16芯miniMT插芯,可灵活拓展支持12/24/32多芯规格;兼容200μm、250μm标准光纤,适配2.0~2.6mm外径光缆。产品导销间距与常规MPO保持一致,可直接与标准MPO连接器转接互配。High Compatibility

  It comes with a standard 16-fiber miniMT ferrule, and can be extended to 12/24/32 fiber counts. Compatible with 200 μm and 250 μm optical fibers, it suits cables with outer diameters ranging from 2.0 mm to 2.6 mm. The pin pitch is identical to standard MPO, enabling seamless interconnection and adaptation.
